The Joys of Living
Material Exploration
For my senior thesis work, my concept celebrates the "Joys of Living". In this day and age it is so easy to get caught up in the negativity, so this collection will be a personal meditation of gratitude and hopefulness for the future, one that I think many people will be able to relate to.

During the Fall of 2022, we were asked to begin exploring our concept through material studies and corresponding illustrations, to get a better idea of what message we wanted to convey and how we wanted to convey it.

First I began using all the different materials I owned, illustrating whimsical landscapes.
​
Then, I made some illustrations using mixed media.
I chose to embroider my next five studies, because I love how meditative it was for me.
Finally, I did some more illustrations to show where I may go with my concept.
